United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Senior Coordinator, CI to join our team. As Senior Coordinator, CI you will provide administrative support to the Chief Impact Officer, Public Policy, and Education Teams. The position serves as the logistical coordinator for departmental training and provides coordination support for all major grantmaking processes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Addresses both the administrative and coordination needs of the Community Impact department. Provides logistical support for all CI planning activities. Conducts research as needed.
  • Serves as lead coordinator for all scheduling and communications activities associated with the key work of Community Impact.
  • Provide administrative support that includes but is not limited to: internal and external communication; report generation and queries; coordinating registration and food for receptions, luncheons, meetings, and events; and assisting other staff with administrative projects. Provide support to the Education and Public Policy staff as needed. Tracks and submits expense reports for assigned staff.
  • Provide telephone support for the team that includes but is not limited to: answering calls, recording and delivering accurate messages, referring complaints and requests for information to appropriate staff, and following up as needed.
  • Maintain database for newsletter recipients and overall CI agency and volunteer contacts.
  • Process out-of-town travel arrangements for the team as required; event registration for associated community events. Maintain team roster of birthdays and anniversaries and ordered and distributed gifts and acknowledgments on a monthly basis.
  • Order office supplies for the Community Impact Team.
Requirements:

Education Requirements: Associate degree or equivalent experience.


Experience Requirements: One to three years of experience in an office/administrative environment supporting a senior-level position.


Technology Requirements: Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Andar, intermediate Excel, and knowledge of modern web browsers.


Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task with effective time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication and strong customer service skills required. The Spanish language is not a requirement but helpful.
