Registered Nurse PACU/Cath Lab
Greenbelt, MD

MUST:
Experienced Registered Nurse
3 plus years of experience in PACU or Cath Lab experience
Must have Maryland Registered Nurse License
Must have ACLS and BLS in place

DUTIES:
Utilizes basic knowledge and skills of imaging technologies and nursing to anticipate and plan for patient care needs in the Diagnostic Imaging environment
Applies radiation safety principles and assists in initial treatment of adverse effects
Administers contrast media and pharmacological agents and demonstrates special consideration related to imaging procedures
Participates in evaluation process, quality improvement, continuing education and professional growth as related to Diagnostic Imaging nursing practice
Utilizes the nursing process to facilitate patient care in Diagnostic Imaging
Provides nursing interventions related to cardiac output, pacer, arterial blood gases, balloon pump, vascular interventions, device insertion, lithotripsy and others as required
Provides post-procedural nursing care for Invasive procedure/cardiac catheterization patients.
Demonstrates ability to assist in Stereotactic Breast biopsies
Documents all pertinent patient information by use of correct format in accordance with department and facility protocols and with JCAHO
