Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Richmond, Virginia
Pay From: $40/HR
MUST:
Experienced Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Must have 2 plus years of current management/supervisor working within an Ambulatory Surgery Center experience
Must have 2 + years of experience as a Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Must have a valid and good stand Virginia Registered Nurse Licensure
Must have a BSN or higher degree
Must have active BLS
Experience with Ophthalmic cases highly preferred
ACLS and PALS highly preferred
DUTIES:
Registered Nurse - Operating Room will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Scrub in and circulate through the Operating room as needed
Make sure clinical staff and center remain JACHO complaint
Resolves patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
Maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from other health care professionals
Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
Maintains nursing supplies inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends; anticipating needed supplies; approving requisitions and cost allocations
Implement the functions of staff development programs
Handle all quality assurance concerns within the operating room
Develop and plan strategies to manage program growth and ensure business sustainability
Must be flexible, and open to change along with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Must be able to work in with other nursing staff in the pre-op, OR, and PACU, as well as with ancillary staff, to provide safe, efficient patient care
Ability to generate revenues for clinical services
Possess great organizational and program development skills
Attend all meetings
