In order to continue our record growth streak, we need people like YOU to join our team! Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking a Regional Director of Operations who will be responsible for all operational aspects of our distribution centers within the southeast region. The southeast region comprises of our Buisness Units in Georiga, Florida, and South Carolina. The operational aspects include customer service, warehousing, and inventory management. Responsible for building, developing, and motivating a team of managers over the functions of Account Coordinator, Inside Staff, and Warehouse Operations to deliver world class customer thrill and maximize profitability. Matrixed accountability to the overall financial success of the region’s branches requires tight partnership with the Regional Vice President of Sales and Regional Director of Supply Chain.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversight of the results of the region’s Account Coordinators, who support outside sales activities through customer service, order management, item availability, and related operations.
  • Ensure the region’s Warehouse Operations deliver on safety, quality, inventory management, light assembly, inbound and outbound transportation, and on-time performance.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to develop and maintain thrilling customer relationships.
  • Partner with sales and supply chain to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • P&L performance through asset management (e.g. inventory, leases, equipment), operating costs (e.g. labor, freight), and support of revenue growth.
  • Partner with regional leadership to develop, present, and achieve the annual strategy and budget.
  • Ensure region’s compliance to all company policies and achieve operating metrics around safety, inventory turns, DSO, on-time, quality, and others as necessary.
  • Manage, approve, and enforce customer and supplier agreements on inventory management.
  • Model the Berlin Values and serve as a champion for The Berlin Culture as defined in the employer and employee portions of the T-Chart.
  • Ensure teams’ compliance to proper utilization of order management, vendor management, transportation management, and customer relationship management systems.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent experience required.
  • P&L management experience required.
  • 10 years of prior experience managing operations, customer service, warehousing, order fulfillment, and/or purchasing required.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen; demonstrates subject matter expertise of Berlin Packaging’s business, products, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strategic thinker, able focus on long-term strategic improvements while executing short-term goals.
  • Demonstrated success building winning teams, developing leadership talent, and creating/sustaining a high-performance culture.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills; can influence without authority and partner across functions.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills.
  • Is flexible; seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement and new ways of working.
  • Operates with a high sense of urgency; demonstrates strong time management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up.
  • Self-motivated; demonstrates a strong work ethic; consistently strives to attain goals and seeks self-improvement.
  • Technologically savvy.


Working Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office and occasionally in a warehouse environment. Requires up to 50% travel.
