Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITEQuality Engineer for our client based out of Kings Mountain, NC.This assignment is anticipated to be a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Implement containment, corrective actions and follow-up on quality issues - including facilitation of responses to findings and handling of Quality case documentation
- Lead effective problem-solving activities to investigate nonconformities
- Serve as Quality liaison with support groups and cross functional teams
- Maintain appropriate quality performance documentation (Charts/Graphs) and communicate results to the Business Unit
- Analyze quality data to make recommendations for improvement focus areas
- Develop and implement improvements via Kaizens
- Support the ISO Quality system as requested
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related discipline required
- 3+ Years of Manufacturing experience required; Automotive preferred
- Experience in Problem Solving Methodologies required (Root Cause Analysis, Report of Non-Conformity, Kaizen, 5W2H, Fishbone Analysis, HERCA, QPS etc.)
- CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or Six Sigma Qualification a plus
