Purpose Statement

Assures that the product that is produced is safe for human consumption. Monitors production to make sure that the product is produces following established formulas and plant procedures. Assures all quality attributes and specifications are met. Performs analytical testing of product as needed.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Support R and D with tests when conducted in the plant.
  • Audits production processes to make sure safe food manufacturing practices are being followed.
  • Measures product to make sure specifications are being met.
  • Ensures that the company hold procedures are being followed to prevent substandard product from getting to our customers.
  • Assists in resolving consumer complaints about our products.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, food allergens, and pest control.
  • Monitors the quality of all products being manufactured and assists team leaders to correct defects.
  • Assists in training plant personnel in Good manufacturing practices and any other food safety topics as needed.
  • Maintains and reports required operational information to management.
  • Complies with all safety, GMP, plant policies, and other associate and food safety requirements.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
  • Gather data for statistical analysis.
  • Performs analytical tests on product as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • High degree of judgment and organizational skills is necessary.
  • Highschool Diploma required.
  • Ability to work independently to complete tasks and manage time well.
  • Basic math skills necessary.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety basic and associate safety basic practices.
  • PC skills a must in Excel and word documents.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding and following proper lab procedures when testing products.
  • Frequent walking and standing is required throughout an 8 hour shift.
  • Minimum lifting is required of 20 pound cases.
  • Maintains and reports required operational information to management.
  • Complies with all safety, GMP, plant policies, and other associate and food safety requirements.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
