Skills and Competencies

  • Must have 3-6 years prior credit assessment experience in banking, insurance, financial services or government industries.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting of corporate or municipal entities and experience in reviewing and interpreting them.
  • Strong knowledge of the project finance markets or municipal debt markets and an understanding of key issues affecting these markets would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills.
  • Good IT competency skills including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, public policy or a similar technical field.
  • Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead analyst covering a portfolio of infrastructure and project finance credits, including conducting analysis, preparing rating recommendations, presenting to rating committees, leading issuer meetings, publishing research, interacting with investors and bankers, and presenting at industry events.
  • Ensure robust broad thinking about credit and rating consistency across regions and sectors.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of issuers, including project finance entities and municipal infrastructure entities such as airports, public power, toll roads, and seaports.
  • Perform and present in-depth fundamental credit analysis on a regular basis to rating committees and other internal analytical meetings to assign and maintain credit ratings.
  • Research and write for publication, and execute presentations to a high-quality standard on credit trends, opinions, and topical issues.
  • Maintain relationships with high-profile issuer clients, investors, and intermediaries, with frequent interaction with investors and intermediaries.

About the team

Join our team as a PPIF - Analyst, where you will act as a lead analyst covering a growing portfolio of infrastructure and project finance credits. The team covers infrastructure and project finance issuers covering energy, such as power projects, pipelines, LNG facitilies, and municipal utilities; transportation, including airports, toll roads, bridges, and seaports; digital assets, including data centers; as well as socia infrastructure. Our team is dedicated to conducting in-depth credit analysis, preparing rating recommendations, and maintaining relationships with high-profile clients in the municipal infrastructure and project finance sectors. As a PPIF - Analyst, you will have the opportunity to present at industry events, interact with investors and bankers, and contribute to the publication of research on credit trends and opinions. Annual base salary gross: [[$133,100.00 to [[$192,950.00. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
