KCCI, the Hearst owned CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, has an opening for a Client Specialist/Program Specialist. You will work side-by-side with our multi-media sales consultants to serve our local clients and stay up to date on all current and future programming. You will partner with other team members to generate presentations, manage orders, maintain the client database, and ensure our client communication is exceptional. You will help our team deliver a high-quality KCCI experience in a cheerful way to our clients and your colleagues. You will report directly to the General Sales Manager. Job Responsibilities:
- Track and update KCCI/MeTV/MyDSM Program Schedules
- Create supportive marketing materials for sales department
- Help develop sales proposals, advertising packages and client presentations
- Facilitate progress on several sales projects
- Collaborate with Station Research Director as it relates to programming
- Enter and maintain all national or local orders including electronic transfer and maintenance of all MediaLine/WOCentral orders to WideOrbit
- Communicate with all internal stakeholders on programming changes or other programming related matters and sales support initiatives
- Communicate with our teams (sales, production, finance, programming) and external clients on performance and delivery of campaigns
- Provide regular correspondence to KCCI’s corporate team regarding a variety of items including streaming clearances, program clearances and community out-reach events
- Regularly update KCCI’s programming files with internal information as conditions change
- Update Nielsen database as it relates to programming
- Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers and clients to deliver a high-level of service
Requirements:
- Computer and software experience
- Client relations and team support experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive projects associated with advertising sales
- Keen on learning new systems promptly and thoroughly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Must be focused and organized
- Must take pride in work, respond to instruction well, be able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment, and perform at a high-level
- Related military experience will be considered
