Toyota Material Handling's manufacturing facility includes processes for sheet metal cutting and fabrication, steel saw cutting, CNC machining, press brake and hydraulic press forming, manual and robotic MIG welding, resistance welding, powder coating, painting, assembly, and inspection.

About the Job:

The Production Engineering Project Manager is a technically minded, entrepreneurial professional who will manage model launch activity and additional cross functional projects for the department. The position will coordinate within the department and across departments to ensure the design review process timeline and deliverables for are maintained for Production Engineering.  This person must be results-oriented and process focused with an attention to detail and the ability organize across the department.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

In this role, you will perform functions including:

• Champion Design Review (DR) milestones within the Production Engineering department
• Lead team to define and develop goals, scope and deliverables according to the needs of the project.
• Create detailed project timelines and ensure they align with timing of activities in other departments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to execute assigned projects
• Monitor, update, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and help the team work towards mitigation.
• Track project budget and performance metrics.
• Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions to document procedure improvements for future projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Materials/Chemical)

• 3-5 years of engineering experience within manufacturing

• 2+ years of experience in a project management role
• Experience with model launch activity or new project introduction within manufacturing

• Strong technical experience with executing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong work ethic, intrinsically motivated, ability to organize work and help maintain timelines on concurrent projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and process improvement.
• Ability to convey complex information in an understandable format.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
