Your Role at Cabot
Cabot is seeking a Planning Specialist to join our growing Inkjet Manufacturing Plant in Haverhill, MA. We are the primary manufacturing facility for inkjet colorants for packaging, commercial, and desktop markets. The Planning Specialist will develop longer-term and master production plans and will manage forecasting, production planning and scheduling processes for multiple product lines.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Creates production plans over a 9 to 12-month horizon. Ensures plant(s) have adequate capacity to meet demand throughout planning period. Prepares master schedules by working with materials planning, production, and maintenance groups.
- Completes demand planning analysis and recommends solutions to capacity problems. May work closely with Shared Services Center and Customer Care group regarding anticipated demand.
- Develops in-plant bulk inventory stocking levels and inventory planning. Monitors material supply and alerts to potential shortages.
- Monitors Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) and participates in the long-range planning process.
- Manages forecasting and planning tools and processes including development of new or modified tools.
- Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
- Engagement in cycle counting and corrective and preventative actions processes to maintain accurate inventory.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- Proficiency in demand planning tools, such as Manugistics, and MRP systems. Working knowledge of short-range and long-term forecasting and inventory planning.
- Excellent analytical skills, communications and inter-personal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Bachelor’s/University degree in Materials Management, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- Qualification in the field of logistics, transportation or materials management, such as ASCM (formerly APICS), preferred.
- 5+ years’ related experience
