This is a hybrid remote role based out of the TNC Winter Park, FL office and their home office.

WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Philanthropy and Operations Program Specialist will work as part of a functional team of organizational priority within a development program. As a Philanthropy and Operations Program Specialist, you will be essential to ensuring smooth operations for both our philanthropy team and the Florida Business Unit. You will handle gift and pledge coding, donor correspondence, and database management while ensuring compliance with policies and donor requirements. By supporting donor stewardship, office management, and reporting, you'll help advance our mission and make a tangible impact on conservation through organized and efficient operational support.

The Philanthropy and Operations Program Specialist will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the team by implementing tactics for approved plans and completing and organizing varied tasks and activities. The Specialist will identify day-to-day priorities based on needs of the program, manage, track, and report on key data related to the team scope and priorities. The Specialist will perform independent analysis on key program data, which may include donor or gift information, processing gifts and providing support and targeted training related to the functional area of the team. The Specialist will effectively communicate or distribute information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow.

We're looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in administrative support and donor management. In this role, you will manage office operations, maintain donor records, handle gift coding and mailings, and ensure smooth office functions for the Florida Business Unit. If you excel at balancing multiple responsibilities, improving workflow, and managing data with accuracy, this role offers an opportunity to help support impactful conservation efforts. Your initiative and strong communication skills will be key in keeping our team connected and effective. Your advanced skills with the systems and resources will be utilized by the team to execute tasks and implement practices to improve effectiveness based on your in-depth understanding of related policies and procedures. The incumbent in this position will work a hybrid schedule based out of the TNC Winter Park, FL office and their home office.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience building relationships with staff, customers or similar.
  • Experience generating reports and interpreting data.
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience working across teams.
  • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of relevant field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel functions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive data entry tasks.
  • Understanding of non-profit fundraising process.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Work independently and manage multiple workstreams with deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze information for the purpose of coordinating and planning activities and solving problems.
  • Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results.
  • Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience are appreciated.

AUTO SAFETY POLICY

This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with TNC's Auto Safety Program.

Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.


SALARY INFORMATION

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $28.50 - $31.50 hourly. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
