Responsibilities*
- Specialty scheduling for Speech Language Pathology & Audiology clinic using the MiChart Epic system.
- Manage and triage referral workque for SLP & Audiology clinic.
- Working closely with Faculty for coordinating appointments.
- Scrub Audiologist and SLP scheduled appointments ensuring proper codes are entered for authorization.
- Verifying orders are linked to SLP/Audiology appointments.
- Contacting patients for scheduling or rescheduling of appointments.
- Administrative duties consisting of faxing, specialty supply ordering specific to SLP and Audiology.
- Back up coverage for Check in/Check Out along with Facial Nerve/TAB scheduling as needed.
Required Qualifications*
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of experience
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Prior experience performing complex scheduling.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Communicates effectively.
- Demonstrates active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinical setting.
- Demonstrates excellent attendance.
- Expected to be proficient in identifying problems, seeking, and implementing solutions.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience working within a large, complex healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies.
- Familiarity with obtaining medical records.
- MiChart/Epic system experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Background Screening
