The Culinary Pastry Supervisor will supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items. The selected candidate will be responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner. Candidate will possess basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef.

Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, basic cost control understanding, basic communication, leadership skills and computer skills. Responsibilities include the supervising of hourly cooks and may assist in monitoring payroll costs & overtime. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Leading and coaching the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
• Producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner
• Monitoring food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
• Ensuring proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
• Leading department trainings
• Assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef
• Assisting with monitoring payroll costs and overtime

Qualifications

• 3+ years of previous kitchen experience is required
• 1+ years of supervisory experience is preferred
• Understanding of a kitchen operation within the hotel.
• Requires refined communication skills, strong leadership and relationship skills.
• Culinary degree or related kitchen experience is preferred.
• Candidates should be able to perform all intermediate and advanced cooking skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and have a passion for teamwork.
