Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Parts & Accessories Business Manager to join our Yamaha Golf Car team in Kennesaw, GA. You will be responsible for overall parts & accessories business management across YGC, focused on achieving retail and wholesale targets for all channels, as well as development of objectives ensuring an overall customer experience focus in the market. Works with senior management to implement strategic action plans that support the overall corporate direction. Directs, manages, and motivates a team, and is accountable for skill and career development of staff.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in development of Mid Term Plan and MBO objectives for parts and accessories.
- Assist with development of Sales and SG&A budgeting in conjunction with staff and Business planning department.
- Develop and implement parts and accessories sales programs (i.e., initiatives, incentives, and tracking programs) working with team of direct reports and aligned with the Field District Manager team.
- Leads the development of new business strategies, systems improvements, and communications in conjunction with executive management to facilitate MTP growth strategies across division.
- Create and present presentations for management of overall departmental activities, sales objective results, developmental planning, proposed sales, Inventory position and marketing activities, and achievements.
- Accurately forecast parts and accessories sales and inventory levels based on previous sales history and market trends across all channels.
- Travel in market to maintain understanding of business environment, and gather competitive information and dealer feedback to hear the voice of the market.
- Work with Unit sales management to train, communicate and develop parts and accessories sales programs for field unit sales team.
- Work with Marketing department to develop, coordinate and implement all parts and accessories marketing materials (i.e., accessory catalogs, sales flyers, web updates, YDS updates, POP, merchandising and dealer sales tool related items).
- Work with Supply Chain Management to ensure pricing, inventory and excess inventory is in line with divisional objectives.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience in operations, or in a retail sales setting
- 5+ years of managerial experience with a team of direct reports.
- 3+ years of general service and parts & accessories experience/knowledge preferred.
- Dealership relationship experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Organizational and Time Management skills
- Minimum 25% travel required traveling in market to various accounts, industry events, and dealer functions.
- Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to obtain a company issued or personal credit card for use in travel-related expenses.
