WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Operations Manager will work as part of a team within the California Business Unit providing a broad range of resources. They may manage or be the subject matter expert for one specific functional activity, such as Safety, Finance, Human Resources, procurement, facilities, meetings management, special events, training, volunteer programs, contracts, etc. The Operations Manager will work towards the CA Operations team's strategic priorities by developing, implementing, organizing, and completing multiple tasks and activities. They will maintain, track, and report on key data related to the scope and priorities of the functional activity. The Operations Manager must have advanced knowledge of the systems and resources utilized by the team in order to provide programmatic support and coordinate communications related to the resources. They will complete activities with multiple variables, setting realistic deadlines and managing the timeline. They will provide guidance in satisfying requirements based on extensive knowledge of policies and procedures.
The Operations Manager will adapt processes and implement recommended practices to improve effectiveness. They will take on duties to enhance the work of the team, including, but not limited to, developing documentation, providing recommendations and targeted training related to the functional area of the team, and/or enhancing the systems and tools used by the team. They may coordinate logistics for organizational wide meetings and/or special events. They will create program materials and perform analysis and research related to program activities. They will coordinate with stakeholders for program success and may serve as the lead liaison with partners or vendors. The Operations Manager will communicate with staff in various programs across the Conservancy, as well as with vendors, business contacts, and other external parties. They will keep up to date on best practices to improve services.

They should be a self-starter who works well with others and holds themselves accountable to producing outstanding and accurate work products, have a strong attention to detail, be able to manage multiple tasks effectively, meeting deadlines, and exceeding expectations. * Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
* Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data.
* Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
* Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement.
* Experience supervising staff, interns, and/or volunteers
* Experience with current technology in relevant field.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams.
* Experience handling confidential information.

SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay for this position is within the range of $70,500 - $90,225 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA and state of employment is California. The salary range for this position will the following based on location:
Sacramento, San Diego, and Ventura: $70,500 - $82,825
Los Angeles and San Francisco: $76,800 - $90,225
Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's location, qualifications, skills, and experience. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
