- Organize and inventory warehouse materials
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipment
- Maintain clean work environment
- Assist customers and employees with locating materials
- Assist customers and employees with loading and unloading of materials
Note: This is a position covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Georgia Power and IBEW Local 84 and is governed by this agreement. Union membership is optional. The starting salary (non-negotiable) is governed by this agreement which includes an increase every six months assuming satisfactory performance, until you max out in your job classification and a negotiated general increase every July.
Job Experience and Education- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Warehouse related experience and/or background is highly preferred
- Successful completion of Warehouse - Clerical Test is required
- Ability to follow instructions and translate those instructions into action items
- Computer literacy desirable.
- Must be able to interact with various internal customers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously/repetitively is required
- May be required to travel to other Region Storerooms to assist as needed
- Ability to work overtime and storm duty when necessary
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or similar motorized warehouse equipment for warehouse materials distribution
- Customer oriented team player who is willing to learn, be flexible, and self-motivated
- Individual must show a strong dedication to safety

This position has been identified as a role that will require the use of a Georgia Power fleet vehicle. The following will be required if you are selected for this position:
Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
