The FHLB Des Moines Marketing Communications Intern will play a key role in the Bank’s Marketing Communications Department. This person will gain real-world, value-add experience leading and assisting with a variety of communications and content marketing initiatives, specifically related to website, email marketing, social media and more.

Accountabilities:

Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks:

Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team as well as business partners to support various projects, marketing campaigns and operational communications.
Create, write, and build content for an external audience using multiple channels including articles, emails, website content and video.
Ownership of the design and development stages of content creation, including project plans, updates, content design and webpage layout.
Support ongoing department reporting and organization of creative asset libraries

Qualifications:

Junior, senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
Experience in content creation, digital marketing and communications a plus, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
Experience working with website content management systems, social media management, Google Analytics and email marketing platforms (i.e. Marketo)
Strong multitasking, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills are critical.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including both creative and technical writing.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, think critically, take initiative and work independently.

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $22.00 - $2.00

This salary range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank’s annual incentive plan.
