Job Description: Our client, a global bank, has an immediate opening for a Market Development Analyst/Power Systems Analyst to work remote preferably from the Boston, MA, FL, or NY regions. The Market Development Analyst/Power Systems Analyst will perform research, prototype development and testing to enhance market clearing software performance. PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering/Operation Research, Applied Economics & Statistics or related technical field required. The tool will improve the capability of performing after-the-fact analysis and identify areas for improvement on managing uncertainties during different stages of the unit commitment processes. Knowledge: Principles, practices, and administration of Electricity Markets; Principles and economics of transmission/generation construction and system operations; Security Constrained Unit Commitment and Economic dispatch; Optimization algorithms; Applied economic and statistical principles. Skills: Develop mathematical models of engineering and economic processes; Power system modeling and simulations; Perform quantitative analysis; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and listening skills. PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering/Operation Research, Applied Economics & Statistics or related technical field required.
