Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Manage and support Supply Chain Contract Managers in drafting, interpreting, and negotiating quality, minimal risk contracts for BJC Health System.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

Draft, interpret, and evaluate contract language and makes recommendations/changes.

Develop and enhance strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Independently and support Supply Chain Contract Managers in negotiating or renegotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions with attorneys and contract managers from third parties.

Manage Supply Chain Contract Managers in proactively addressing the Sourcing portfolio expiring contracts calendar and new contract requests.

Serve as escalation point for Contract Managers providing expertise to resolve contracting negotiations.
