About the Location
Hybrid Position:
This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.

Manager, Product Management (App)

Job Summary/Purpose
This job is responsible for leading a team of product professionals focused on managing the lifecycle of PetSmart app technology products and feature enhancements. It gathers insights from customers, the marketplace, engineering, and business partners to understand needs, innovative technologies, and trends in the market to develop the PetSmart app roadmap. It guides the conceptualization, prioritization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. It ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products.
Major Responsibilities
Leadership:
· Leads, mentors, and grows a team of product professionals to ensure they are high performing, ultra-collaborative and hyper-focused on the customer experience driven by data
· Helps team prioritize capabilities based on value to the organization, leads a test and learn culture, and defines and drives toward KPIs and results in assigned product area
Product lifecycle management:
· Drives the research, implementation, integration, and optimization of solutions within PetSmart’s eCommerce domain
· Gathers insights from customers and the marketplace to understand needs, innovative technologies, and trends in the market to develop the eCommerce roadmap
· Guides the conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes
· Ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget
· Spearheads prioritization and delivery of critical organizational eCommerce initiatives
Partnerships:
· Serves as main POC for vendor partners as needed (negotiating costs, reviewing contracts, working with procurement and legal, ensuring security assessments, ongoing relationship management, etc.)
Process improvement:
· Leads ongoing evaluations and refinement of existing solutions/processes, including intake, discovery, vendor solutions, deployment checks, regression testing
· Serve as a point of escalation for operational incidents as needed
Qualifications
Your goals and responsibilities will include:
Provide full oversight of the PetSmart app roadmap and capabilities
Partner with business stakeholders to determine their goals and requirements to guide strategic product roadmaps
Work closely with engineering, user experience designers, and other team members to deliver valuable, high-quality capabilities
Manage risks and resolve issues affecting scope, quality, budget, and schedule
Lead the team to work in a collaborative, customer-focused environment
Develop relevant artifacts for communication, direction, delivery, quality, and solutions
What you will bring to the table:
5+ years experience successfully leading teams that have delivered iterative products
Experience delivering complex programs and deploying solutions within an eComm and/or app environment
Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to learn and solve problems quickly
Ability to build strong relationships to become a trusted and respected partner
Demonstrate high accountability
Delivery experience in an agile environment
Ability to understand technical concepts and evaluate tradeoffs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
