Position Summary:

The vision of the Endpoint Development and Strategy group is to develop innovative ways to demonstrate the clinical meaningfulness of treatments designed to address the unmet medical needs of patients with rare diseases. The role of a Manager in EDS is to support the review, analysis and interpretation of clinical outcomes data, as well as develop training materials to support the standardized administration of assessments.  This is a rare opportunity to blend experience in patient care and disease management with research practices in clinical trials.

Work Model: 

Remote: Officially documented as working full-time from home, with travel to Ultragenyx's offices or other locations on occasion as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Explore, evaluate and recommend clinical outcome measures for protocols through literature search, review, expert consultation and clinical survey studies
  • Provide training, support and guidance to site personnel for clinical trials
  • Research, evaluate and make recommendations to the study management and development subteams on the implementation of clinical outcomes assessments, including training, standardized administration, licensing and translations
  • Conduct quality control review of outcomes data
  • Support interpretation of clinical efficacy data from clinical trials and observational studies
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and manuscripts to share study results with broader community

Requirements:

  • Minimum of masters-level education in health-related field
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical research experience
  • Experience working with biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical outcomes research
  • Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills
  • Flexible; adapts work style to meet organization needs
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Power Point, Acrobat)
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships, both internally and externally #LI-CS1 #LI-Remote

The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
