Thryv is seeking a passionate, analytical, and customer service focused hands-on compensation professional to manage the day-to-day broad-based and sales compensation activities. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining global compensation programs and processes, focusing on aligning pay practices with the labor market and company objectives. Working collaboratively with finance and senior leadership in support of the compensation processes, this role delivers key insights on compensation impact and performance.

Responsibilities

·       Manages compensation function, including survey participation, job evaluations, salary structure maintenance, incentive/commission plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives.  Continues the development of scalable methodologies and tools to optimize compensation programs and streamline core processes globally.

·       Leads the annual compensation planning processes (i.e., year-over-year analysis, merit increases, incentive calculations, etc.), including preparation of data and system, developing communication and training, and partnering with HR to ensure pay decisions are tied to individual performance.

·       Develops communication materials and conducts training sessions for leaders on compensation programs and processes, as needed.  Provides guidance and support to leaders in making informed compensation decisions.

·       Manages and analyzes data (e.g., employee, job, associated incentive plan, market, etc.) ensuring quality and consistency with compensation structure and company practices.  Provides in-depth data analysis and well-developed insights and recommendations to senior leadership for adjusting compensation strategies.

·       Supervises the work related to job evaluations, job description management, candidate offer reviews, salary adjustments etc.  Provides direction on sales compensation including incentive/commission plan design, pay and bonus program administration, modeling proposed plan outcomes, analyzing plan performance, and other associated initiatives.

·       Acts as project manager for compensation related activities with acquisitions, international expansion, and system changes.

·       Stays up to date on related legislation, trends, advances and/or new technology and makes recommendations for changes and improvements.

·       May support the preparation of compensation data for proxy disclosure and compensation committee meetings.

Who We’re Looking For

·       Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent), required.

·       6+ years of directly related experience (i.e., data analysis, market-based and job-based compensation management, survey participation, vendor management, salary planning, and process optimization), required.

·       2+ years of people leadership experience, preferred.

·       8+ years of related experience, preferred.

·       Compensation certification, preferred.

·       Sales incentive compensation experience, strongly preferred.

·       Experience with compensation management systems (i.e., CompAnalyst), HRIS systems (i.e., UKG), preferred.

·       Prior compensation experience with the SaaS industry, strongly preferred.

·       Strong industry knowledge with an in-depth understanding of best practices and processes to market-based and job-based compensation program management.

·       Business acumen with the ability to work in a complex, remote-first environment with competing priorities, balancing stakeholder requests with compensation practices and company objectives.

·       Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop others.

·       Strong customer services, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport, effectively collaborate across the organization, support leaders through compensation processes, and influence across various teams and leadership levels.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, research, analyze complex information, evaluate options, and drive improvements.  Must have advanced excel and data analysis skills.

·       Technical aptitude with the understanding of various data dependencies and the ability to utilize industry related tools and systems such as Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel skills), HRIS/HCMS, compensation management, etc.

·       Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.

·       Must be 18 years of age or older.

·       Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.

·       Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
