Make an Impact

Strategy
  • Build, develop, and implement global strategies for the assigned categories with the relevant set of activities to meet the expectations of key stakeholders
  • Have industry expertise; understand the business cycle in the industry and what differentiates one competitor from another.
  • Deep understanding of the nuances of the products and services of the assigned category, a complete understanding of what is driving the cost, and constraints on supplier capacity. Knowledge of the technical details necessary to ensure the optimum quality of delivered goods and performed services.
  • Have extensive knowledge of rules and regulations for assigned categories
  • Monitor key market fundamentals for categories, communicate key shifts to internal stakeholders, and tailor category strategies accordingly

Global Sourcing:
  • Develop close relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and support the business, inspire internal customers to comply with procurement initiatives and persuade senior-level management to give support to procurement strategies and investments, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the success of their projects.
  • Manage the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities, including Rfx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation
  • Identify sourcing opportunities by leveraging spend analysis and engaging with key stakeholders to consolidate requirements over categories, suppliers, and geographies
  • Guide internal stakeholders on procurement strategies by preparing and holding business reviews with stakeholders to review vendor performance, future opportunities, and challenges

Supplier and Contract Management:
  • Manage supplier relationships, build and manage a network with suppliers● Evaluate supplier capabilities, cost structures, risks, and partnership approaches
  • Negotiate prices and supplier agreements following business, compliance, and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with the Purchase to Pay team to ensure a comprehensive service offering to the business
  • Direct Reports
  • Manage and develop Procurement/Sr. Procurement Specialist positions

Your Skills

Skills
  • 10+ years in the role, with cross categories management experience
  • 5+ years leading and developing a team
  • Strong affinity with a specific category
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic plans, managing complex projects, and leading collaborative relationships in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strategic thinking
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Evidence of entrepreneurial spirit and ambition with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, creative problem solver & want to get their “hands dirty.”
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
