Job Description:
Our client in the Denver Metro area is looking to bring on a Linux Sys Admin to their team. They are looking for a candidate with eagerness to learn and a few years of professional experience.JobSummary
Looking for a candidate who will be responsible for support, maintenance and testing of network and service provisioning applications. The candidate will be involved in projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple environments
JobResponsibilities
- Provide support forincoming tickets to identify issues associated with network and service provisioning layer in the lab
- Follows up on all the tickets in timely manner and pursues issues through to resolution
- Responsible forcodedeploymentsand release installs for various applications inthelab environment
- Responsible for troubleshooting networkprovisioning of various CPE devices
- Work closely with the development and architecture teams to understand the requirements around testing new features and releases
- Responsible for testing software releases for network provisioning and service activation applications
- Responsible for creation and execution of test plans and reporting bugs on issues found during testing
- Analyze test data, document results, and clearly communicate results and conclusions to project stakeholders
- Responsible for creating and managing documentation for support and testing related activities for provisioning applications
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of networking. The candidate should be conversant with IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TFTP, SCP and have a basic understanding of firewalls and load balancers
- Experience with RedHat based operating systems such as RHEL and CentOS at an intermediate level
- Must be willingto learn new or unfamiliar technologyquicklyand products using documentation and internet resources
- Must be able to prioritize and achieve results while working on several simultaneous tasks and high-profile projects
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
- Knowledge of billers like CSG, ICOMS and NextGen process in a provisioning and activation flow is a plus
- Knowledge of testing fundamentals with experience in cable(Video/Voice/HSD) domain is a plus
- Knowledge ofSAFE and Agile methodologies is a plus
Technical skillset
- Linux, VMWare, Splunk, Wireshark, Postman/SOAPUI,IPv4/IPv6 networking,Chef, Ansible,Container Services (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker)
