Job Location:    Flower Mound - Flower Mound, TX Salary Range:    $23.00 - $23.00 Hourly

Description

Position Summary

Directly involved in daily warehouse operations. Responsible for prioritizing and delegating all tasks involving the first shift shipping and receiving operation for FFF and Alpine. This position requires interaction with fellow warehouse personnel, customer service, freight carriers and internal management.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Utilize good communication with fellow warehouse representatives to coordinate the efforts of the team to complete daily departmental tasks in an effective manner.

• Responsible for coordinating and participating in accurate and efficient order picking, packaging and processing of all FFF and Alpine shipments.

• Responsible for coordinating and participating in the unloading of product receipts, upon arrival at facility docks.

• Responsible for coordinating and participating in accurate and efficient receiving of products against open Purchase Orders, for all divisions, into the ERP system.

• Utilize existing network of carriers to rate shop and coordinate the transportation of various shipments that require special handling and/or equipment.

• Participate in the proper training of all new employees involved in shipping and receiving operations.

• Assist Supervisor in the completion of subordinate appraisals for warehouse personnel.

• Responsible for ensuring that appropriate inventory levels of shipping supplies are maintained at all times.

• Coordinate and participate in the effort to maintain a clean and safe work environment, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date facility maintenance records.

• Operate material handling equipment with extreme care keeping in mind the safety of ones self as well as others in the work area in accordance with company policy.

• Continuously strive to improve processes, service quality to internal and external customers, and employee relations.

• Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.

• Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.

• Represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance at all times.

• Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the company. Immediately report any concerns or violations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

• Must have at least four (4) years’ experience in warehouse environment

• Must have experience on material handling equipment (i.e. 3-4000 lb. capacity forklift and reach truck).

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the medical industry a plus

• Experience in the supervision of personnel a plus

Required Skills:

• Must have strong organizational skills

• Must have a detail orientation and the proven ability to prioritize work

• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills

• Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team

• Sound decision-making abilities

• Professional, friendly customer service

• High level of responsibility to complete job accurately and on time

Physical requirements

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Working condition include warehouse setting.

Mental Demands

Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
