Reports to (Title): Senior Manager – Facilities, Operations & Projects
Job Summary:
Takes the lead role in facilities electrical system maintenance service and installation. Will be responsible for taking lead role through construction projects and able to lead other Facilities Electricians through the completion of their tasks. Internal bidders will follow the current bidding process outlined in Article X of the CBA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews, schedules, and distributes assignments as directed by the Facilities Supervisor and Manager.
- Leads the planning and execution of projects and work assignments requiring two or more employees.
- Performs minor installs of new equipment. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Installs, repairs, calibrates, and maintains motors, pumps, equipment and instrumentation in use at the Company’s Facilities.
- Performs all work assigned in a safe and skillful manner on Company owned property.
- Prepares diagrams of electrical, electronic, or pneumatic control circuits as needed and is proficient in reading design drawings and electrical details.
- Makes effective use of test equipment and other tools in the performance of his/her work.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of spare parts for the repair of motors, pumps and equipment owned by the Company associated with the buildings and facilities.
- Prepares and keeps electronic shop records of inspection and maintenance of equipment under his/her care and control.
- Installs and repairs electrical, electronic and communications cables.
- Maintains knowledge for operation of computerized energy management system to ensure building integrity and provide support for supervision.
- Maintains knowledge for the operation of computerized corrective and preventive maintenance work order system.
- Performs other additional facility related work duties as directed by supervision or as needed during electric outages and projects
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak effectively.
- Must have an Electrician’s license (E-1 or E-2)
- Stay current on all electrical permits required by town authorities
- Must have experience in the repair of electrical, mechanical and automated controls.
- Must have and display skills in the use of tools and testing equipment related to his/her duties.
- Must be able to understand, and work from, drawings & specifications and to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must have basic computer skills to navigate email and work order management systems.
- Must have experience in commercial buildings or industrial plant maintenance.
- Must have a high school or technical school diploma
