About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Accountability Specialist to support operational risk related work for the Payments Transformation line of business. Will act as a liaison with control, testing and validation and audit partners to manage risk activities for the operation. Will coordinate horizontally across the organization to resolve issues and corrective actions, support RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) and provide risk management consulting. This is a highly visible, critical role with interactions across LOBs and with executive leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business risk issues and concerns; act as key participant in large-scale, cross-functional planning for the business. Build effective risk oversight routines, including effective status reporting and storytelling for operational risk for the organization.
- Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
- Support the coordination of Audits, Compliance reviews, and all testing and validation related operations activities, including walkthroughs, documentation, and issue management for all related inquiries. This may include regulatory and external examiners.
- Have accountability for collecting all required input from line level management in coordination with the timeframes and deliverables.
- Manage assigned corrective actions and related SHRP issues through to resolution, including accountability for full scope documentation, management of tollgate review meetings, and escalation to leadership for any time sensitive adjustments
- Support RSCA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) activities including maintaining process mapping and flows for the Payments Transformation organization and assists in the coordination of operational activities to comply with the RCSA program.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Payments experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) / Veritas such as reporting and issue management
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Experience with tracking, monitoring, and implementing corrective actions or information security exceptions for Operational Risk or a combination of both.
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance or operational risk
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats and, with senior executive-level leaders
- Ability to facilitate and lead meetings with key business partners, with focus on leading an operational risk program
- Ability to build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Pay Range
New York, New York:
$133,300-$237,100
