The Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer will drive technical innovation in new technologies, processes, and inspection methods for our Enterprise Additive Manufacturing Technology Center. In this fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in supporting the production of advanced products through additive manufacturing and providing technical solutions that enhance productivity, reliability, and safety. As an integral part of our Technology Center, you will accelerate additive manufacturing adoption while leveraging your expertise in metal powder bed fusion technology, hands-on operational skills, and a deep understanding of design materials science.

As a Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the operations team by developing more efficient and reliable manufacturing methods and workflows for laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and related post-processing workflows.
  • Understanding the ins-and-outs of the LBPF and related post-processing equipment to adjust parameters, settings, and workflows based on production needs.
  • Developing, executing, and completing internal and external R&D projects, DOEs, and prototyping, including parameter, material, and design efforts.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and business growth.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university with a focus on manufacturing, ideally metal additive manufacturing.
  • Have 3 years of experience in additive manufacturing process development, machine operation and part printing.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, problem identification and resolution, analytical and organization skills. Be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
