Prepares and packages specimens/slides for transport according to shipping requirements. Performs waived testing under general supervision.Job DutiesOrders, receives, and triages incoming specimens/slides and evaluates specimen integrity. Verifies that specimens/slides are labeled according to laboratory policy and all paperwork is correct. Performs laboratory information system functions associated with these processes.Prepares specimens/slides and completes laboratory information system functions and documentation for send out to reference laboratory.Operates assigned equipment and performs all procedures in a safe manner.
