Crossroads Health provides a continuum of quality life-changing behavioral health and specialized chemical dependency treatment services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families. As a leader in the behavioral health field, we offer a vast array of programs and services that evaluate, educate, strengthen and support thousands of children, adults and their families each year.

We are currently seeking an energetic individual to be a Jail-Based Clinician. Located at the Lake County Jail, the Clinician will offer support, assessment, intervention, and consultation within the Lake County Adult Detention Facility. This position is responsible for individual and group services as well as crisis intervention and collaboration with corrections staff and coordinate. The Clinician will provide oversight of day-to-day tasks and service provisions for the incarcerated population. This licensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach, the Jail-Based Clinician will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health. More specifically, this position is responsible for:

  • Position is specific to Adult Services
  • Position is specific to adult population involved with the criminal justice system
  • Provide crisis intervention and coordinate Pharmacological management services for those incarcerated
  • Provide consultation to correctional staff and other criminal justice professionals
  • Provide trauma informed services to clients and their family system in a correctional setting including Lake County Adult Detention Facility, including individual, group

 Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Counseling/Related Field
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work/Counseling (preferred)
  • Licensed in the State of Ohio with LPC/LSW/MFT (LPCC/LISW/IMFT, LPCC-S, LISW-S/IMFT-S preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • For positions that may transport clients: Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000
  • Two (2) years of experience in mental health and corrections (preferred)
