Grow your career as an Instructional Designer with ALG Vacations. In this role, you will develop high-quality courses that engage learners through effective curriculum design, multimedia integration, and adult learning principles. You will work closely with subject matter experts and create interactive, accessible content for both online and live training environments. Strong skills in instructional design, project management, and a commitment to impactful learning solutions are essential for success in this position.
A successful Instructional Designer will:
- Design and create engaging training materials, including presentations, handouts, facilitation materials, and eLearning modules that align with learning objectives and support various delivery methods.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather information, translate technical or complex topics into digestible content, and ensure training materials are accurate and relevant.
- Develop interactive virtual training sessions that engage participants through activities, discussions, and multimedia to enhance the online learning experience.
- Develop structure, sequential curricula that cover learning objectives, assessments, and activities for multi-session programs, blending eLearning and instructor led components, as necessary.
- Use authoring tools (e.g. Articulate storyline/rise, Adobe Captivate, Clipchamp) to design interactive, self-paced eLearning that complements instructor led training.
- Gather feedback from participants, instructors and SMEs to analyze training effectiveness, and make revisions to improvement, engagement, retention and overall learning outcomes.
- Apply best practices in adult learning theory, such as experiential learning and active engagement, to ensure materials meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Design all content to be accessible and ensure inclusivity across all learner demographics and needs.
- Oversee the timeline, resources, and deliverables for multiple training projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Design quizzes, assessments, and knowledge checks to measure learning outcomes and adjust instructional strategies based on data and feedback.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or related field is preferred.
- High School and combined relevant employment experience is required.
- 2-5 years designing training materials, eLearning Content and/or curriculum is preferred.
- 6 months or more designing Contact Center and/or operational training material required.
- Ability to create structured, sequential learning programs or courses, particularly in corporate training, travel, higher education, or K-12 education.
- Learning Design & Delivery certifications preferred, but not required.
- eLearning tools proficiency – Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise), Adobe Captivate, Camtasisa, Canva, Clipchamp.
- MS Office Suite proficiency.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories necessary to design effective training programs.
- Ability and willingness to operate in a fast paced, complex, corporate environment.
- Effective Time Management and Project Management skills.
- Strong Communication Skills to collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs.
