Our clients Content Design Production team is seeking an Instructional Design Guidelines Writer with a passion for user-focused product experiences to create both internal and end-user facing design guidelines and supporting content across multiple services, with primary focus on streaming services. They are looking for a good collaborator with enthusiasm for an iterative creative process. You think about the big picture as well as the details, and can grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clear, understandable solutions.
Key Qualifications
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience creating end-user instructional materials for readers of varying skill, from beginners and professionals
- Experience creating and implementing style guides
- Experience with instructional design, creator tools, teaching, training, tutorial development, or similar
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and deliver quality work on time
- A deep understanding of the tech brands, services and history
Responsibilities include editing and writing design documentation and instructions, and finding new ways to improve how we convey sometimes technical information to readers of varying skills and background. You understand the importance of accessible and inclusive language and can write clear and engaging content for a variety of formats. You have strong opinions about style, grammar, tone, and voice and can quickly spot errors and inconsistencies. You can handle multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy working with team members in different roles to iterate on a piece to the point of perfection. A diplomatic approach, strong communication skills and the ability to stay highly organized is essential. Interest in new technologies in web, mobile, and other devices is required.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45 to $50/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
