Purpose Statement
Maintain building and designated areas in clean sanitary condition as directed by an established Sanitation Program, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Housekeeping Practices for Industrial Food Processing.Conduct general cleaning to maintain the building by following SSOPs.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Complies with all Safety, GMP, Quality, Plant Policies and other Associate and food safety requirements.
- Responsible for operational sanitation support (e.g. Sanitation After Maintenance) ensuring Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping and sanitary conditions inside the plant and outside grounds.
- Perform general sweeping of the production floors and ensure they are clear of waste.
- Constantly accessing the floor condition and eliminating trip hazards created from product waste, packaging waste, empty single pallets, cake pans and other objects.
- Transports waste material, recyclable solid waste, and general plant trash to trash dock.
- Responsible for blood-borne pathogen incident clean up and remediation.
- Mixes chemicals in proper ratio for cleaning of process equipment and facilities.
- Use of hand tools for disassembly and reassembly of production equipment for cleanings.
- Observe and report damaged equipment and unsafe conditions to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum Education (or substitute experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of English
- Skills Required:
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to work in a cold and hot environment.
- Self-starter.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Considerable amount of standing, walking, use of hands.
- Detailed Oriented.
- Time management skills.
