Job Summary

Grader position for CSC 137 - Fundamentals of Unix/Linux 

Responsibilities*

  • Objectively grade students' submissions 
  • Respond to student inquiries in Canvas discussions
  • Support the development of any course curricular materials, such as tutorials, template code, etc.

Required Qualifications*

  • Knowledge of Unix commands
  • Previously taken CSC 137 or equivalent with a minimum grade of B+
  • Current undergrad student

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with Unix commands
  • Previously taken CSC 137 or equivalent with a grade of A/A+
  • Good written and communication skills

Work Schedule

This position is for Fall 2024.  The work requirements allow for the majority or all the work to be completed offsite.  On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis.

Modes of Work

Hybrid
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Background Screening
