The Finishing Driver is responsible for safe and efficient Finishing operations including staging, shipping, and receiving.
Main Accountabilities:
- Following safety rules and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Writing work orders for safety items and maintenance issues.
- Executes and documents daily forklift checks, changes batteries on the forklift as necessary.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the forklift.
- Pre-stages outbound product loads by completing daily pick lists including special instructions; pick list contain the allocated lot numbers, item number, product name, amounts and location in Finishing.
- Inspects and loads trucks matching the dock schedule with product following GMPs and SOPs.
- Fills out the documentation necessary for all inbound and outbound trucks.
- Keep the area clean and organized. Completes the sanitation schedule and documentation.
- Makes other product movements as requested, i.e., tempering room and documents to maintain location accuracy.
- Receives supplies i.e., packaging materials, chemicals, equipment, etc. Performs tallies and receives and inspects goods and transport as per SOPs and GMPs. Verifies documentation is accurate and complete.
- Performs cycle counts upon request.
- Relieves packaging drivers as required.
- All other task as assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
- The Finishing Driver is responsible for Food Safety and Quality by following company Quality Systems and implementing Food Safety in the Finishing department or any department the Finishing driver is assigned to.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent are preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Preferred but not required - completion of the Petrochemical Class at JJC or relative years' experience.
- Basic Math Skills
This is a union hourly position.
12-hour shift, 7am-7pm or 7pm to 7am
Must work every other weekend and Holidays if scheduled.
$24.78 per hour,eligible for $.50 increase once trained and qualified as spotters.
