Financial Aid Business Analyst
Location:Remote
Job Type:6+ month contract
Rate: $35/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Financial Aid Business Analyst to join our Higher Education team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Financial Aid processes and system administration, with specific expertise in either Banner Financial Aid, ProSAM, and PowerFAIDS. This role requires a strong understanding of system administration and the ability to review and write SQL scripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Financial Aid processes.
- Address production support tickets and maintain knowledge base documentation.
- Collaborate closely with programmer analysts to convert business/functional requirements into technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot student and colleague issues by digging through code and understanding the flow of processes on financial aid platforms.
Must-Have Experience:
- Extensive experience with Student Financial Aid platforms
- Strong Business Analyst (BA) experience.
- General knowledge of SQL databases.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Specific experience with Banner, ProSAM, and/or PowerFAIDS.
- Program/Project management experience.
