Env Affairs Analyst I, II or Sr. – Chem Fuels
** This is a Full-Time, ON-SITE, position, 5 days per week, 8 hrs per day @ 2480 Maner Rd. Atlanta, GA.
JOB SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for providing support for routine analyses and laboratory operation. This includes, but is not limited to, wet chemistry procedures and analysis, coal and oil analysis, radiochemistry analysis, instrumental analysis, sample preparation, cleaning of glassware, Sample Receiving support (sample login, disposal, etc.), procedure review and revision.
This position will start in the fuels analysis department performing tests on coal and fuel oil. These procedures could include but are not limited to reduction of 8 mesh coal to 60 mesh laboratory analysis sample, gross calorific value using a bomb calorimeter, determination of combustible sulfur, elemental analysis by XRF, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BS in physical/natural science or engineering (preference for Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
Must be able to work within a team environment and a good listener.
Must be detail-oriented, self-directed and possess good organizational skills.
Experience with quality control requirements for processing methods.
Computer proficiency using instrument and data management software.
