Qualifications:
OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE: The Director of Operations is responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes and infrastructure of the agency, ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency, allowing the agency to fulfill its mission.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
ORGANIZATIONAL OPERATIONS: The Director of Operations, in conjunction with the Executive Director, oversees the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services, and activities that facilitate achievement of all outcomes pertaining to the UCS mission; communicates and explains new directives. Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, customer service divisions, and agency as a whole when appropriate to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes. Creates short and long-term organizational planning and strategy; recommends modifications to improve program performance as appropriate; ensures outcome measurement and data analysis to improve quality of organizational operations. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, Strategic Plan and Organizational Goals.
CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT: The Director of Operations, in conjunction with the Executive Director, establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the Agency's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures, reviews agency functions; increase effectiveness and efficiency of support services through process improvement projects as well as coordination and support of flow of information to all necessary parties. The Director will lead organizational initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence; consulting with staff on matters related to business structure and growth as appropriate. Develops a Continuous Quality Improvement Plan.
MONITORING AND ANALYZING: Monitor agency key performance indicators to ensure operational efficiencies, analyze data and metrics to determine changes needed in process to increase efficiency and effectiveness of programs and process. Work with Senior Leadership to create plan of change necessary and implementation of changes required.
ACCREDITATION: Responsible for all accreditation activities, processes, outcome measurements, and data. This includes, but is not limited to, preparation of Designation and COE.
SUPERVISION AND PROGRAM OVERSIGHT: Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers and staff; organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers; conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive; handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with Agency policy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree plus 5 years' experience in senior level administrative role. Bachelor's degree preferred. Supervisory experience required.
Valid Driver's License
