Title: Director, Market Access Patient Experience and Reimbursement Analytics

Location: Philadelphia, PA or Durham, NC

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Patient Experience and Reimbursement Analytics to join our US Market Access team. This role will lead a team responsible for analyzing and optimizing patient experience and reimbursement processes, with a focus on specialty pharmacy and hub services analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare analytics, patient services & reimbursement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Lead and develop a team focused on patient reimbursement and patient experience analytics.
    • Drive the strategic direction for analytics related to specialty pharmacy and hub services, ensuring alignment with broader market access objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Commercial, Finance, and Tech, to integrate patient experience insights into broader business strategies.
    • Leverage data and analytics to gain a deep understanding of the patient journey, identifying opportunities to enhance patient access to therapies and improve overall experience.
  • Patient Experience Analytics:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of analytics frameworks to assess and improve patient experience, including journey mapping, satisfaction metrics, and engagement strategies.
    • Utilize data to identify pain points in the patient journey and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements.
    • Develop analytic plans and define KPIs that monitor operational and performance measures for all patient access, patient hub, field access and reimbursement teams, and copay services.
  • Reimbursement Analytics:
    • Manage the analysis of reimbursement data to optimize access to therapies, with a focus on specialty pharmacy and hub services.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor reimbursement trends, identify potential barriers, and recommend actionable solutions.
    • Work closely with Market Access and Strategy teams to ensure alignment of reimbursement strategies with payer requirements and market dynamics.
  • Specialty Pharmacy & Hub Services:
    • Oversee analytics related to specialty pharmacy operations, including medication adherence, patient support programs, and distribution efficiency.
    • Lead initiatives to optimize hub services, including patient enrollment and benefits verification
    • Partner with external vendors and service providers to enhance data integration and reporting capabilities.
    • Partner with key stakeholders in Patient Experience & Reimbursement, both in-house and field-based, to understand key business questions and address them through deep-dive exploratory data analyses.
    • Support specialty pharmacy contracting decisions and measurement tracking through data, reporting, and analytics.
  • Collaboration & Data Aggregation:
    • Collaborate internally and work with data aggregators to ensure GSK teams are receiving appropriate and actionable data to assist patients and providers.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for patient experience and reimbursement analytics.
    • Lead the requirements development of automated reporting solutions to streamline data access and improve decision-making.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration). Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, with a focus on patient services & reimbursement and/or specialty pharmacy.
  • Experience leading and developing a team.
  • Experience with US healthcare reimbursement processes, including specialty pharmacy and hub services.
  • Experience in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) and experience with large healthcare datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Familiarity with patient support programs and financial assistance processes.
  • Knowledge of payer strategies and healthcare policy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
