Job Summary
The Data Solutions Manager will lead the development and implementation of data products within Comcast Integrated Supply Chain Operations team. The role focuses on designing and building reusable and scalable data solutions for facilitating self service analytics through partnership with business and technical teams. Becomes the subject matter expert in the data and able to articulate how it benefits business stakeholders. Works with business units to document the requirements for expected deliverable, identifies the source and data attributes that fit the business requirement. Responsible for leading a team which manages the complete project lifecycle for new data integration, data integrity, and data standardization centered on single source of truth. The team is composed of experts proficient in SQL, data profiling/validation, and experience in big data. The data assets that the team maintains get used across the Enterprise. May manage a team including exempt and non-exempt employees or contractors. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the business unit data and supporting reporting, analytics and the user community questions, requirements and deliverables.
- Responsible to assist their leadership with the data roadmap and ensure data development timelines are met.
- Executes on the business unit data roadmap to profile, prioritize, develop, validate, gain deployment signoff and support.
- Is the subject matter expert in the data and is able to articulate how it benefits business stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of data governance/compliance to improve the quality and trustworthiness of the underlying data assets.
- Responsible for collaboration between portfolio management, reporting, data architecture, operations and data platforms to ensure successful deployment and maintenance of data assets.
- Maintains detailed documentation about the business unit data and master reference data.
- Gathers requirements for the semantic layer to support reporting, analytics and user community.
- Provides user support regarding questions about all the datasets within the UDE.
- Responsible for data quality rule identification and threshold review to ensure confidence within data.
- Implements standardization efforts for within the semantic layer and master referential data.
- Assists with training on new and/or enhanced tables/views to end users.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
