Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the data engineering space and a strong proficiency in Python. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, curating and modeling data, and providing valuable insights to our teams. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of data-driven solutions that power our performance, design, and customer experience efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient and reliable data pipelines using Python frameworks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and data scientists to deliver the best solutions.

  • Design and implement data solutions, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency across different types of data.

  • Work on data curation, modeling, and ensuring data pipelines are scalable and optimized.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in existing data pipelines, and develop solutions to improve and enhance them.

  • Actively learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the ever-evolving data engineering field.

  • Provide intuitive analytics and insights to partner teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience.

  • 6+ years of proficiency with Python for data processing, including expertise in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, PyOdbc, PyMsSQL, Requests, Boto3, SimpleSalesforce, and Json.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Data Warehouse technologies, specifically Databricks and Snowflake.

  • 4+ years of strong experience in SQL, including performance tuning, writing stored procedures, triggers, and schema design. Experience with both RDBMS (MSSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB/MongoDB/Redis).

  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and managing REST APIs.

  • 2+ years of strong experience with AWS technologies including AWS Data Exchange, Athena, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, IAM, STS, EC2, and EMR.

  • 2+ years working with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Talend, or Alteryx.

  • 1+ year of experience with Hadoop and Hive.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience with Git for version control and agile planning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Familiarity with Big Data tools and technologies.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
