Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service / Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for processing and managing customer orders, providing exceptional service, and supporting sales efforts through accurate and timely communication with customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, proficiency in computer systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Some travel may be required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Customer Service
- Process customer orders received via phone, email, or online platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, order status, and shipping timelines.
- Prepare and edit customer quotes, ensuring accurate pricing and adherence to company guidelines.
- Maintain and update customer information in the ERP and CRM databases.
- Monitor and track orders to ensure on-time delivery, working closely with production control.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain customer records and ensure data accuracy in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production and shipping, to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns, escalating as necessary.
- Generate and compile reports for management, including order tracking, inventory updates, and sales estimates.
- Maintain organized records of quotes, orders, and customer communications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Inside Sales
- Reach out to prospective customers and review our product offerings.
- Identify customer needs and provide product recommendations.
- Assist in developing and maintaining customer relationships through proactive communication.
- Travel occasionally to visit customers, attend industry events, or support business needs.
Experience: 3+ years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or related industry preferred. Preference for candidates with an interest in or experience with the firearm industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience creating customer presentations a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
