Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Collateral Manager to join our Finance team in Cypress, CA. The Collateral Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of title administration, complaint management and the remarketing activities nationwide. They will also interact with title and auction vendors to negotiate pricing, contracts, and performance metrics. They will also be responsible for the title follow-up on electronic and paper titles, MSO’s, UCC’s and lien perfections. In addition, this role will evaluate and enhance the effectiveness and controls of the department.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervise, develop, coach, and motivate direct reports. Ensure that the day-to-day operation processes for title management, complaint management and remarketing are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with all the department policies, procedures and all federal and state legal/regulatory requirements for title, complaint, repossession, and remarketing processes.
- Oversee and monitor all the title, complaint and remarketing activities with the vendor(s) and ensure SLAs are in adherence with contract standards.
- Monitor title perfection data, analyze the trends, publish reports, and present status of missing or problem titles to management.
- Define, design, and develop back-end tracking and reporting for repossession and remarketing vendors performance reporting.
- Work with YMFC-US Technology, Vendor Management, and other departments to determine and implement vendor integrations needed to support all title, complaint, and remarketing activities.
- Coordinate activities with sales/operational teams in efforts to obtain missing titles and report on any identified Dealer issues.
- Directs the review, analysis, response and tracking of Consumer complaint activity, both regulatory and direct complaints, and provides regular reporting to senior management. Handle all the aspects of escalated complaints and resolve them in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
- Minimum 7 years of indirect financial services experience required.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience is required.
- Title management, complaint management, repossession, and remarketing experience in Powersports, Marine and/or Auto finance industry is required.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks/environment related to complaints, titles, and remarketing.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and state laws, regarding title processing, remarketing, and complaint handling.
- Ability to interpret state-specific laws on repossession, sale notice and title requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills, and ability to interact seamlessly with all levels of management (internal and external).
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and hands-on approach with an ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects/assignments.
- High sense of urgency and detail oriented.

Pay:
$76270 to $134240
