Job Summary

This position will be responsible for performing activities to assist the Medication Use Policy team with daily activities as well as projects/initiatives.

Responsibilities*

  • Proactively monitors temperature dashboard (KODE) to identify concerning trends and prevent excursions
  • Assists with contacting manufacturers for temperature excursions, drug defects, or other questions
  • Assists with gathering of information to support temperature excursion reviews
  • Contacts 503A and 503B vendors for required documents
  • Updates the formulary website, guidelines, and dispensing procedures
  • Assists with PVSC dashboard maintenance
  • Assists with running reports for potential projects, medication use evaluations, and cost savings initiatives
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor

Supervision Received:

  • General supervision provided by the Assistant Director, Medication Use Policy

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a recognized field which is directly related to the duties of the position and at least 3 years of experience in analyzing and interpreting process, clinical outcomes and costs of care, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient communication, computer, and basic mathematic skills are necessary
  • Must be able to prioritize with accuracy and dependability

Desired Qualifications*

  • Proficient computer skills and literacy, including Windows-based and Microsoft Office-based programs

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm, shifts may vary based on meetings times or projects
  • Hybrid work model

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
