What You'll Do
The Claims co-op students will work closely with a mentor to understand how claims are handled.
Our Claims Co-op offers opportunities to:
- Assist claims representatives with claim handling activity
- Support internal and external customers with empathy and understanding
- Document claim files with information provided
- Bilingual support as applicable
- Access to insurance course work including licensing and designations
- Professional and Personal development opportunity
- Develop knowledge of claim handling best practices and jurisdictional requirements (participation in Basic Claims Learning)
- Obtain required licensing as needed
What it Takes
In order to be eligible for this elite opportunity you must meet the following criteria:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Obtain a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Graduating in May 2026- May 2028 preferred
- Ability to work up to 20 hours a week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours a week during breaks
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
