Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a successful national based (Lebanon, MO office) Business Development Specialist to join the G3 Boats family. This essential position will manage and monitor national and regional new dealer activities and transactions. Act as a liaison between the field sales team, legal and other key national departments. This candidate will report directly to the National Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a complete understanding of G3 dealer operations and a vision for improving G3’s wholesale and retail operations within the competitive boating industry.

Job Description: Business Development Specialist

Position Summary:

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining strong dealer relationships, and contributing to the development of new products and services. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, relationship building, and sales skills to help expand the company’s market reach and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct research to identify new markets, industry trends, and dealer needs.
    • Analyze competitors and market conditions to create business development strategies.
  2. Market Prospecting:
    • Identify strategic partners and new business opportunities.
    • Use various platforms to identify open markets.
  3. Dealer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key dealers.
    • Schedule meetings, presentations, and proposals for new business opportunities.
    • Act as a liaison between dealers and internal teams to ensure dealer needs are met.
  4. Proposal & Contract Development:
    • Develop customized proposals, presentations, and contracts
    • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, operations, legal) to ensure alignment with business goals.
  5. Sales Strategy Implementation:
    • Execute business strategies to achieve company sales and revenue goals.
    • Monitor performance metrics to assess progress and make data-driven improvements.
    • Develop pricing matrix and proof pricing for sales & marketing material
  6. Partnership Building:
    • Attend key boat show & industry events
    • Build partnerships that can drive long-term value for the business.
  7. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
    • Communicate regularly with senior management regarding progress and new opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and online prospecting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B sales or working with high-value clients.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing or sales processes.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and financial modeling tools.

Work Environment:

This position is operated out of the G3 Boats corporate office in Lebanon, MO and travel may be required shows, events, dealer meetings, conferences & dealership.
