Position Summary
The Business Analyst, IT Projects will manage and optimize data-driven solutions, reporting systems, and project workflows across various business functions. With a strong focus on BI analytics, ERP, and business applications, the incumbent will transform raw data into actionable insights, reports, and dashboards tailored for internal teams, stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
In addition to technical expertise, this position will leverage project analyst and project management skills to plan, monitor, and execute IT projects effectively. By synthesizing business requirements and aligning them with the capabilities of BI analytics, ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and other systems, the incumbent will deliver comprehensive solutions, reports, and documentation while ensuring projects stay on track and within scope.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Ability to work with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Knowledge of BA Processes (both waterfall and agile), documentation, current/future state analysis and develop in depth expertise in product and business functions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements by involving key parties to solidify overall requirements. Manage appropriate artifacts or backlogs for waterfall and/or Agile projects, respectively.
- Identify, plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure project deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed schedule.
- Under direction, to analyze, create, develop, validate, optimize, and provide report/data output specifications for assigned applications as requested by report consumers.
- Define, analyze, and provide detailed specifications for, and authors new reports, including appropriate distribution methods to support future operational workflow processes.
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and problems and provide appropriate recommendations for workable solutions.
- Work with the appropriate subject matter experts and other project team members in design, build, and validation sessions.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of numerous factors.
- Coordinates with internal IT teams and external technology teams to ensure functional requirements are reflected in the final solution.
- Confer with project staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Develop and maintain relationships with project resources, IT leadership, and vendors.
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Required Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years [nine (9) years for non-degreed candidates] of business analyst experience with the responsibility for capturing functional and technical requirements, partnering with business stakeholders, and supporting analytics and ERP projects.
- Must have experience with analytics dashboards, reporting and BI analytics.
- Must have experience with understanding requirements and working on projects involved with ERP systems, integrations, and other business applications.
- Must have thorough understanding of agile project management methodology.
Preferred Experience:
- Three (3) or more years’ experience in an IT Business Analyst role
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in a Project Management role
- Experience in Healthcare, life sciences and/or supply chain management preferred.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – Project, Excel, etc.
- Experience with ERP, BI Analytics, IT Application projects.
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be detailed oriented and have the proven ability to prioritize work
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team
- Must have sound decision-making abilities
Professional Certification:
- CSPO, CAP, CSBA, PMI-PBA or other business analyst certifications a plus
Physical requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, and movements require the use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to view a computer screen for extended periods and sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts to 50 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working conditions include normal office and warehouse settings. After-hours support and weekend support as needed are requirements of the position
