Description

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Material and Analytical Sciences department located at our Ridgefield facility. As a Co-Op, you will be working in a dynamic environment to evaluate biorelevant dissolution measurement of pediatric dosage forms with tiny TIM system.

Duties & Responsibilities


*    He/she will be involved in activities to evaluate the applicability for pediatric programs on the tiny-TIM (TNO Intestinal Model) dynamic gastro-intestinal model (training and mentoring will be given). 
*    Research and select drug products with known clinical data and utilize tiny-TIM to compare with published in vivo data.
*    Evaluate which tiny-Tim methods correlate to in vivo data.
*    Collect high quality data and summarize findings for department seminar.

Requirements


*    Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
*    Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
*    Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
*    Major must be related to the field of internship.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities: 
*    Experience with various laboratory equipment is required.
*    Experience with general Pharmacokinetics a plus.
*    Experience with Dissolution techniques is a plus.
*    Analytical wet chemistry experience is a plus.
*    HPLC analysis is a plus.


Eligibility Requirements: 
*    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
*    Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
*    Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation Data

This position offers an hourly rate of $20 to $33 commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled.For an overview of our benefits please click here
