Job Description:
Position:Backend engineer
Direct Hire
Location:New York City- must be local and sit hybrid
Overview:As a backend engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technology stack of the organization. You will design, develop, and deploy backend services.
Responsibilities:
- Define backend requirements and APIs using Node.js and Typescript
- Work closely with DevOps to deploy applications on AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Create and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL
- Deploy CI/CD pipelines
- Utilize Python and PyTorch for AI and machine learning tasks
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer
- Experience working in a start up environment
- Proficiency in Node.js and Typescript (full-stack experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices including AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Experience with CI/CD tools (flexibility in choosing the right tool)
- Understanding of Python & PyTorch
