This role is hybrid with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI 3 days per week. Local and domestic travel may be required for corporate visits and presentations. Purpose:
As the Associate Director of Master in Business Analytics Coach & Employer Relations Manager, you will be responsible for both coaching students and developing recruiter relations for the Masters in Business Analytics degree program. You will report to Sr. Associate Director of OYM Career Coaching and work closely with the Director of Employer Relations and the BBA/OYM career coaching team.

Responsibilities*

Business Development & Employer Strategy (45%)

  • Identify and engage new companies to recruit Ross students from the Masters in Business Analytics (MBAn) program.
  • Source job postings for MBAn students, support companies recruiting for analytics roles, and share opportunities with students.
  • Develop and refine strategies and engagement opportunities to connect corporate partners with students for business analytics roles.
  • Use industry knowledge and professional networks to design programs that enhance knowledge exchange among students, alumni, recruiters, faculty, and experts.
  • Collaborate with corporate partners to align programming with their needs and expectations.
  • Gather employer feedback on Ross candidates and share insights with our teams to improve student outcomes.
  • Stay updated on recruitment practices, industry trends, faculty research, and student needs to provide advising and incorporate alumni and guest speakers into programs.
  • Engage with corporate recruiters through presentations, events, and meetings.
  • Represent Ross programs and students at industry conferences and events.

    Student Preparedness (45%)

    • Design and deliver in-person and virtual student programs and workshops, including guest speakers, career exploration, personal branding, and more, for diverse audiences.
    • Provide personal and group career coaching to students, focusing on business analytics careers across multiple industries.
    • Offer coaching on self-assessment, resume and LinkedIn optimization, job search strategies, career transitions, interviewing, and negotiation.
    • Tailor coaching methods to meet students' needs at different stages of their career journey.
    • Build relationships with a diverse student body and monitor their progress.
    • Collaborate with the CDO team and other offices to align programming with the Ross student experience.
    • Improve educational materials for career development.

      Team & Professional Development (10%)

      • Foster a team culture that embraces diversity, transparency, collaboration, and shared decision-making.
      • Collaborate with University of Michigan and peer school colleagues to promote program innovation and knowledge sharing.
      • Stay informed about all CDO functions, including employment data and general administration.
      • Use feedback and self-reflection to understand and apply personal strengths and improve teamwork.
      • Take on special projects or serve on committees.

      Required Qualifications*

      • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in recruiting, higher-education, or a related field that involves serving multiple members is required.
      • Experience coaching and mentoring students and demonstrated understanding of student development needs for different populations.
      • Familiarity with career counseling methods and process-oriented.
      • Advanced knowledge of issues of concern in higher education.
      • Demonstrated project management, including skills to plan and implement successful events.
      • Experience in strategic planning and execution.

      Modes of Work

      Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

      Additional Information

      The posting range for this position is $66,900 to $86,350. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
